I'm not sure if Terry actually ended up playing volleyball in High School or not. She came home one day and told my parents that she wanted to play and that she needed some gloves to protect her delicate digits. I remember saying that she should just have dad make her the gloves since he was practically a professional leather-smith. I thought she was so snobby when she said that she wanted our parents to buy her some gloves. Stan Heimbuch was my hero...I still think he could have made her some pretty sweet gloves.
