The man rarely skipped a beat but didn't traverse far from his home in Western Washington. He became a Glass Glazer while waiting to get into the Sprinkler Fitters Union. During a job on a high rise in Seattle a suction cup slipped, causing significant damage to his thumbs. These were the 1st fingers of his that needed to be reattached. In October 1978 he was accepted into the 4 year Sprinkler Fitters Apprentice Program and worked the remainder of his years as a Journeyman. The man never called in sick and even continued working once he got home at night. There was always a home project going on. He worked hard to support his ready made family, with his only vacations being local hunting, fishing and camping trips. He sacrified a lot to take care of us all.
