In 1985 Kelly was injured and Stan helped care for him for the next 6 years. This was total care for a 6 foot tall quadraplegic who could no longer speak. It was a strain on the entire family, affecting everyone in a different way. Through it all Stan remained the strong provider, caregiver and Father to us kids that still had much growing and learning to do.
